This solar-powered IP67-rated waterproof outdoor version allows you to easily install WaveShark devices in permanent or semi-permanent locations in order to build out WaveShark mesh networks. Put these up permanently or rapidly deploy them as needed.
The enclosure is made in the USA and features an IP67 waterproof rating, a heavy duty internal waterproof gasket, UV stabilized polycarbonate construction, stainless steel bolts, and stainless steel threaded inserts. It also includes an internal 3,300 mAh LiFePO4 rechargeable battery and a 5W solar panel which can be aimed in a variety of directions and at a variety of angles. This small solar panel and battery will allow perpetual operation when provided with adequate Sun. In addition, it includes a tuned weather-rated 915 MHz antenna and high-grade antenna mating hardware. The enclosure also features built-in versatile mounting brackets allowing for a variety of mounting options.
We have used a number of these units to build out our Gainesville, Florida test network, including on the sides of commercial signs, high up in trees, and on top of high-rise buildings. Easily mount these units outside and enjoy perpetual "repeater" operation.
