The WaveShark Communicator is an excellent go-to device for providing text communications and general purpose low-speed data transmission without having your data sent through facilities owned by Silicon Valley "Big Tech" companies, the major telecommunications carriers, and the like. The WaveShark Communicator was built with privacy and anonymity in mind and therefore does not ever transmit any unique identifiers that can be linked back to the original purchaser of the device (WaveShark maintains no records of who bought which device). Furthermore, the WaveShark Communicator will never try to connect to the Internet or the "Cloud." Any hardware features which would allow the WaveShark Communicator to connect to Wi-Fi networks have been permanently disabled in the WaveShark Communicator firmware.
